Mr. Jazayeri holds a Master of Science Degree in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of California at Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he graduated with honors. He is also a licensed professional engineer and a licensed contractor in California since 1983. In addition, he became a LEED AP accredited professional in 2009. He has more than 38 years experience in the construction industry as a general contractor, construction manager, and claims consultant. He has constructed many types of structures including office buildings, hospitals, tenant improvements, schools, hotels, custom homes, multifamily residential units, and public works projects. Since 1990, he has testified as an expert witness on a diverse variety of projects in courts, arbitrations, and mediations. He has extensive experience in providing litigation support to attorneys during discovery and trial preparation. He has excellent communication skills that allows him to explain complex technical issues in laymen terms that are easily understood by both clients and the triers of fact. Although for most of his career he has acted both as a contractor and a construction consultant, recently, he has limited his practice to claims consulting only. Services include claims preparation and analysis, delay analysis, evaluation of disputed extra work, review of standard of care issues, opining on performance, cost analysis, and construction management issues. He has consulted on behalf of owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, and insurance companies. He serves clients in all of the California region.
