Dr. Gallegos is a full time emergency medicine physician, board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Gallegos currently serves as Vice Chair of Emergency Medicine at The Woman's Hospital of Texas. This unique clinical setting has allowed her to focus her practice on the emergency department care of obstetric and gynecologic conditions. In her practice she sees a large volume of pregnant and postpartum patients. Additionally, Dr. Gallegos has a special interest in quality improvement: she currently serves on the hospital's peer review committee and reviews all departmental 72-hour returns.
Dr. Gallegos continues to practice general emergency medicine within both the hospital and free standing emergency department setting. She previously served as chief resident of her emergency medicine residency program. Dr. Gallegos has completed SEAK expert witness training.
