Dr. Porcia Bradford Love is a Board Certified Dermatologist and the founder of River Region Dermatology and Laser. She is as also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Dr. Love received her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. She completed an Internship in General Surgery at Vanderbilt Medical Center and her Dermatology residency at Duke University Hospital, where she held the honor of serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Love also completed a clinical research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, where her research focused on skin cancer in young women and minority populations. She received the National Medical Fellowships David Rogers Memorial Prize and the National Cancer Institute Fellowship Achievement Award for her research. As a board certified general dermatologist I see all patient types and ages without restriction. I practice medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. That encompasses the diagnosis and treatment of skin ailments like psoriasis, eczema, acne, warts, benign growths and skin cancer. I also perform surgical procedures to remove skin cancer and moles. I perform cosmetic procedures that include the use of injectable neuromodulators and fillers, and also use a wide range of lasers and energy based devices to accomplish goals such as laser hair reduction, photorejuvenation, scar remodeling, skin resurfacing, skin tightening, body contouring and other indications. I am a past president of the Chicago Dermatological Society and the Illinois Dermatological Society. I am an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery.
