Dr. Phillip Nye is a diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiologists, certified in both anesthesia and sleep medicine. After graduating with an undergraduate degree from Boston University he worked as a research volunteer at Brigham and Women’s Hospital division of sleep and circadian disorders from 1993-1995. He went on to complete his medical degree at Spartan Health Sciences University, residency in anesthesia at Maimonides Medical Center and finally, fellowship training in sleep medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He has been practicing medicine for over 15 years. He has been involved in research projects in the field of sleep disorders including a recent publication in the journal of Sleep and Breathing. He is an active member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the Society of Anesthesia and Sleep Medicine. He has presented research posters at both annual Society meetings in the past.
