...I practiced in an academic setting in Chicago for 4 years , specializing in pediatric anesthesiology, and pediatric and adult cardiothoracic cases at Rush Presbyterian St Luke's Medical Center .I was an assistant professor , doing bedside teaching of residents, medical students and student nurse anesthetists, as well as didactic lectures. I helped to build the pediatric acute pain service and its protocols. I have been board certified in anesthesiology since 1995, and am current in my certification. After moving to Denver, Colorado, with my family, I joined a private practice in the Denver area and became a partner, retiring from that practice after 25 years. I was in a rotation of 4 anesthesiologists who took call doing cardiothoracic anesthesiology. I practiced in all other areas of anesthesia except for obstetrics and transplant. It was in a level 2 trauma setting....
