Dr Efthimiou has held faculty positions at top US Medical Schools such as Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM) and New York University (NYU). A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Ioannina Medical School in Greece, Dr. Efthimiou became a Research Scholar at Northwestern University College of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He then completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, while his Rheumatology Fellowship took place at the Hospital for Special Surgery and New York Presbyterian/Cornell Campus.
