I am certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, in Neurocritical Care by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties, and in Medical Critical Care by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
My training includes successful completion of a residency in Internal Medicine, a fellowship in Trauma & Surgical Critical Care, and a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine.
I am an associate professor at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine. I am Medical Director of the Lung Rescue Unit (ECMO ICU) and the Biocontainment Team at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and the University of Maryland Medical Center.
My current clinical practice focuses on Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) support for Acute Respiratory Distress patients and Trauma Critical Care. I also have taken care of Medical, Surgical, and Cardiac Surgical Critical Care patients at a variety of academic and community ICU settings and tele-ICU settings.
