Mr. Larson began his professional career in 1978 with Roen Salvage Company, Sturgeon Bay, WI as a field engineer on various projects on the Great Lakes. His duties included job surveying, scheduling, cost control, and production records.
After four years of work experience, he applied for and received registration as a Professional Engineer. He remains a P.E., currently registered in WI and VA.
In 1984 Mr. Larson joined Marine Contracting Corporation, Virginia Beach, VA as Vice President. In this position his work dealt with construction of a wide variety of marine structures. He has completed over 650 specific projects. Examples of completed projects include a design-build coal unloading pier, numerous repairs and upgrades to naval aircraft carrier piers, private shipyard concrete piers up to 1,200 feet long, pile installation at high-security naval facilities, design-build marina facilities, concrete and steel sheet pile walls, mooring facilities for commercial tugs, barges and...
