Dr. Cullen is a Foot and Ankle Specialist in private practice in San Diego, CA. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both Foot and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery. After completing his medical training at CSPM in 2010, Dr. Cullen was then accepted to a top residency program at Kaiser Hayward where he served as Chief Resident. He received comprehensive medical and surgical training by leaders in the field covering all variety of pathology in the foot and ankle. Thereafter, Dr. Cullen went into private practice in San Diego, and served as the Chief of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery at Scripps Mercy Hospital for 4 years. He has been the Program Director of the Scripps Mercy Podiatric Surgery Residency since 2020. Dr. Cullen is a Past President of the San Diego Podiatric Medical Society. Dr. Vlad Gendelman received his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Southern California, and received his Doctorate from University of California at Irvine. Dr. Gendelman went on to complete his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NY. During his time in Brooklyn, NY he served as a team physician of Sheepshead Bay High School Varsity and Junior Varsity Football Teams. During his residency he completed rotations through six different New York area hospitals including Brooklyn VA Hospital as well as Kings County Hospital which provides Level 1 trauma care to the surrounding community. Dr. Gendelman is licensed to practice medicine in the state of California, and is board certified with American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Since 2007 I have been employed full time as an orthopedic surgeon at a large level 1 trauma center. I serve as the director of orthopedic trauma and have performed over 600 cases per year for 15+ years. I manage acute injuries to the upper and lower extremities surgically and non operatively and deal with the long term sequelae of these injuries including infection, nonunion, and nerve injury. As part of my role, I educate and train medical and physician assistant students. I also oversee quality control of the orthopedic trauma program and attend and participate in monthly quality meetings and M&M reviews. I also participate in local and national meetings as an educator and instructor. I routinely see patients in the office 2 days a week and manage the acute injuries, while also maintaining a practice in general orthopedics, including performing arthroscopy and joint replacement.
