Dr. Andrew Sumarsono is a board-certified internal medicine physician who currently serves as Medical Director of Devoted Medical’s Transitions of Care Program, which is responsible for ensuring the safe transition home for thousands of patients discharged from the hospital each year. In addition to providing clinical care to post-discharge patients, he leverages his clinical research background to guide the program’s clinical strategy to reduce preventable hospital readmissions. Furthermore, he supports Devoted’s nurse practitioners by offering clinical oversight, medical education, and individual coaching. Prior to his role at Devoted, Dr. Sumarsono was an academic hospitalist at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Health from 2020 - 2023.
