High Point, North Carolina
Diabetes, Endocrinology - Hypoglycemia, Male Hypogonadism, Thyroid Disease
I have been in full-time practice as an endocrinologist since the summer of 1997. I was the Medical Director for Diabetes at High Point Regional Hospital for 13 years, and I will be assuming this role again as of October of 2015. I have provided compensated education to pharmaceutical company representatives regarding diabetes and its treatment. My expert opinion has been requested to conduct chart reviews for the VA on topics including adrenal insufficiency, whether inhaled steroids could cause diabetes, adrenal cancer, and hypothyroidism. While not deposed, I was paid for a number of hours of chart review (with interpretation) and education to an attorney regarding type 1 diabetes and the use of continuous glucose sensors in the setting of a serious auto accident caused by low blood sugar.
