He then completed a fellowship in spinal surgery at the UW with the departments of Orthopedics and Neurological Surgery followed by a Chief Residency in Neurological Surgery in 2006. He served as Director of Complex and Minimally Invasive Spine at the Southern California Center for Neuroscience and Spine in Los Angeles before joining the University of Washington/Valley Medical Center as the Medical Director of the Spine Center in 2008 and is a Clinical Associate Professor in Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington.
