I have been working as a board-certified vascular surgeon in a tertiary academic practice in Grand Rapids, MI since completing my fellowship in 2013. Though my skills have remained broad over that time, my involvement in our Carotid and Endovascular Board has provided me specific expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with carotid artery occlusive disease, with or without stroke. As one of the founding members in 2014, I continue to be involved in this weekly multi-disciplinary collaborative case review of challenging patients with various pathologies of ischemic brain events. Also, during most of my time in Grand Rapids, I have been the quality lead of our busy vascular surgery group.
