Working in the only Level IV NICU and a major referral NICU in central Virginia, he takes care of patients with multiple anomalies including but not limited to: hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, congenital anomalies, necrotizing enterocolitis, congenital cardiac malformations, extracorporal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and extreme prematurity. As the Medical Director for Transport, he has led training and education for staff and physicians in referring institutions and has launched the flight program for neonatal transports.
