A well known ophthalmic surgeon with over thirty five years of experience. Dr. Sher has an active corneal, refractive surgery and ophthalmology practice and specializes in laser vision correction (PRK and related procedures, complications of LASIK). Dr. Sher has been involved in the laser refractive surgery field since its earliest days and was one of the first surgeons in the world to perform excimer therapeutic and laser vision correction. He has authored two textbooks, several monographs and dozens of peer reviewed articles on refractive surgery. He is an Adjunct Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
He provides expert evaluation of potential malpractice cases involving ophthalmology for defense and plaintiff. He has consulted for a number of malpractice carriers and some of the nation's leading law firms. He has served as an expert in intellectual property cases for ophthalmic equipment and pharmaceutical companies.
