He graduated from the highly-respected Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine and completed residency training at the University of Michigan. He was then on faculty at the University of Utah for seven years and started a comprehensive allergy practice in the department, teaching and mentoring many students and residents. He has been growing a busy private practice since then. He has performed many independent medical examinations and chart reviews for workers compensation and disability cases. He has served as an expert witness in many malpractice, personal injury, and workplace injury cases, including five expert witness depositions for the 3M hearing loss litigation.
