Additional Information: Captain Timmel served as an officer in the American Merchant Marines, has been a harbor pilot with the Tampa Bay Pilots Association since 1989 handling tugs, barges & ships of all types and sizes, and has taught as an adjunct professor at NY Maritime College. Active in boating & yachting at many different levels, he has served as an Alternate Director of the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs representing 38 clubs statewide and is currently a Governor of Tampa Yacht Club. He has been retained as a maritime forensic investigator and expert witness in plaintiff and defense marine cases since 1995.
