I can determine if the cause of a failure was design, construction or misuse. I am also qualified as a Fire and Explosion Investigator to determine if something other than the electrical system was the cause of a fire. This may be considered defense of my profession since almost all Fire Marshals assume the electrical system is the cause of a fire.
