Additional Information

I have been in practice as an Emergency Medicine physician for 14 years now. I actively work full-time at a STEMI and stroke receiving community hospital. I am also core faculty for the UHS SoCal MEC residency program, actively teaching the next generation of Emergency Medicine doctors the standard of care. This involves performing bedside teaching, leading research projects, giving a wide-variety of lectures, and recruitment and interviews. I am the director of the morbidity and mortality lecture series, leading didactic sessions monthly and providing medico-legal risk evaluations. I present specific cases and topics on how to improve care, how to avoid documentation disasters, and how to make system-wide changes to improve practice management, patient outcome, and patient experience. I am also the Co-director of the Quality Assurance and Improvement Committee for Temecula Valley Hospital and the chairman of the Multidisciplinary Case Review Committee, which is a joint general surgery, emergency medicine and internal medicine quality review committee. Additionally I am a reviewer for the Journal of Emergency Medicine, which keeps me up to date on current medical literature. I also have prior EMS training and worked as an EMT for some time before entering medical school. I am fluent in Spanish and Italian. Please note that I also have experience in trial testimony and as a court witness.
