Dr. Debra Hillier is a board certified pediatric and pediatric hospital medicine physician. She brings over 20 years of clinical experience in an incredibly broad range of care areas, including pediatric hospital medicine, pediatric intermediate and critical care, pediatric emergency medicine, and pediatric procedural sedation. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at a world-renowned medical institution. Dr. Hillier has extensive clinical experience both in a top-tier children’s quaternary care center as well as pediatric community hospital sites. Dr. Hillier brings unique expertise to consulting work given her master’s degree in medical education, with specific interests in medical curriculum development, simulation and procedural competency. She has won numerous teaching awards for her work with pediatric residents and medical students. She has been an invited guest speaker for peer faculty development within the realms of medical education and pediatric intermediate care. Her communication skills have drawn institution recognition, such that she now spearheads a system-wide program for patient handoff safety and quality. Dr. Hillier has also won awards for her ability to give skilled feedback to developing medical providers, designating her as a leader in psychological safety and professional development.
