I am a practicing pediatric oncologist at a major academic pediatric hospital in Philadelphia, PA. I am board certified in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology and Clinical Informatics. I have experience caring for children with many types of cancer including leukemia and lymphoma. The pediatric hospital where I work is one of the largest in the United States and frequently sees extremely complicated cases from around the country and the world. I have experience caring for patients both on and off of clinical trials as well as experience caring for children receiving immunotherapies and bone marrow transplantation. I serve on my hospital's quality and patient safety committees for pediatric oncology. I have co-authored papers for multiple topics including one focused on diagnostic errors and their relationship to unplanned intensive care unit transfers. In addition to patient care, I am an expert in the electronic health record and its impact on the care of children with cancer. As of 2023, I serve on the Pediatric Oncology Steering Board at the largest electronic health record company in the United States. Additionally, I am the Vice Chair of the Informatics, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Special Interest Group for a major pediatric hematology-oncology organization.
