Former Board certified cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon Currently Board certified in psychiatry and addiction medicine Fellow, American Society of Addiction Medicine (FASAM) Fellow, American College of Surgeons I reviewed over 300 malpractice cases in a 25 year career of testimony I have testified by deposition approximately 150 times and testified in both state and federal court approximately 80 times I have reviewed over 60 cases of operating room fires both for plaintiff and defense. I have reviewed approximately a dozen cases resulting in PTSD for the victim of operating room fires both for plaintiff and defense. I have been a member of arbitration and settlement teams I have spoken at a national conference (AALNC) on medical malpractice I am on the Clinical Faculty at 5 medical schools and/or psychiatric programs I am frequently lecture on the topics of General and Addiction Psychiatry I have been teach medical ethics for over 30 years and been on numerous medical ethics committees I have been on numerous committees for workplace violence and evalutaed both victims and perpetrators of workplace violence I have been on several Patient Safety committees and testified in this area
