For the past 8 years, I have served on the Welfare Committees for both the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) where I currently serve as the chairwoman for the welfare committee. I have won multiple professional awards from the Humane Society of the U S and AAEP for my contributions for identifying and ending equine abuse and neglect.
My welfare cases also include additional species other than horses: cattle, dogs, cats, goats, rabbits, poultry and snakes.
