As an Accident Reconstructionist, Mr. Andrews provides forensic scientific analysis of the physical evidence to determine critical aspects of the accident scenario. Investigation includes site and vehicle inspection as well as event data recorder or "black box" crash data download and analysis. Reconstructions are done with mathematical analysis of vehicle motion, on-site surveys, and analysis of photographic evidence. The reconstruction can be graphically presented in a variety of formats.
In addition to accident investigation and reconstruction, Mr. Andrews has experience in forensic engineering, occupant restraints, and agricultural mechanical systems. Mr. Andrews has given presentations on the topics of safety engineering, human factors, accident reconstruction, heavy truck crashworthiness, and restraint systems.
