Additional Information Dr. Jauchem (“Joe-shum”) has a PhD in physiology from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. * 40 years of research experience in pathophysiology, last 30 years related to TASER® conducted electrical weapons and other potential non-lethal weapons (including acoustic devices, blunt-impact projectiles, and microwaves). * Performed original research studies and authored numerous critical reviews. * Studied specific areas relevant to forensic pathophysiology, such as use-of-force, excited delirium, hyperthermia, and proteomics. * Other areas of expertise include radio-frequency radiation and decompression sickness. * Previously Principal Scientific Editor for NIH Division of Research Resources. * Retired from US Air Force Civil Service in September 2014. * Published over 230 research publications, including over 110 peer-reviewed articles (over 75 of those as sole or first author). * Measured physiological factors prior to final pathological findings to develop hypotheses relatin...
