Dr. Jeff Rabinowitz is a restorative, general, implant and oral surgical dental practitioner and dental school professor with forty years of clinical and academic experience. Dr. Rabinowitz is National Dental Board credentialed and licensed and he is residency trained in all disciplines of general dentistry including restorative, oral surgical and implant dentistry. He is fellowship trained and board certified in surgical and prosthetic dental implantology and he is fellowship trained and New York State licensed in intravenous and enteral sedation. Dr. Rabinowitz has over twenty five years of experience as an expert witness and consultant for both defense and plaintiff counsel with an emphasis on restorative, crown and bridge, oral surgical, periodontal and endodontic cases as well as on dental implant cases of all complexities. Dr. Rabinowitz evaluates issues of standard of care and claims of treatment failure, complications and misdiagnosis in all phases of implant, prosthodontic/restorative/crown and bridge, general and surgical dentistry. Dr. Rabinowitz will identify and analyze the issues of both the most routine and the most complex cases in dentistry, clearly presenting his findings, recommendations and strategies to you. Conferences and/or reports are focused on strengthening your position in settlement or in trial. He presents a clear analysis of issues including strengths and weaknesses in pursuing or defending legal action, case defensibility and indications and strategies for case settlement. As an implantologist and as a surgical and restorative dentist in private practice and in academics, his areas of expertise include dental malpractice, standard of care, crown and bridge dentistry, implant dentistry and complications, implant failure, oral surgery and periodontics, wisdom teeth, nerve injuries, treatment planning and endodontics. An actively practicing, broad based clinician for 40 years with an academic appointment and current teaching responsibilites at Touro College of Dental Medicine, Dr. Rabinowitz is very well credentialed and he has provided review and analysis on hundreds of dental cases for both defense and plaintiff counsel with an impressive record of strong, winning testimony as well as successful settlements. Having completed hospital based residency training at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, a Fellowship in Surgical and Restorative Implant Dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry and extensive advanced training in Implantology, complex restorative/prosthodontic care, periodontics/oral surgery/grafting and having chaired the New York County Claims Committee, Dr. Rabinowitz employs broad clinical experience and analytical skills to advise in cases that are best pursued or defended actively as well as in cases that are best settled.
